Some gardens need a new patio. Others need starting again. Our design and build service is for the second kind: one team plans the whole garden and then builds it.
You’re not passing drawings between a designer and a contractor, and nothing gets lost in translation.
Designed by someone who builds
Robert Galbraith started out as an apprentice with Renfrew District Council and has more than 20 years in garden design and landscaping, including time with some of Scotland’s leading landscape firms. Because the person designing your garden also builds gardens, every design is practical, realistically priced and suited to the ground and the climate here.

How it works
- Site visit and brief. We walk the garden with you and talk about how you want to use it, what you like and dislike, and a rough budget.
- Design. We put together a layout showing where everything goes, with materials and planting.
- Fixed quote. Priced from the agreed design, so there are no surprises.
- Build. Our own team carries out the work, in a sensible order, keeping the site tidy.
- Planting and handover. We finish with planting and lighting, then talk you through looking after it.
We only take on design as part of a build. That way the garden on the drawing is the garden you get.
Garden design questions
How much does a full garden makeover cost?
Every garden is different. We’ll give you a realistic figure at the first visit, before any design work starts.
Do you offer design only?
No. We design gardens we’re going to build, so the design is always practical and properly priced.
When should I book?
Spring and summer fill up first. Getting the design done over winter means you’re ready to start as soon as the weather turns.
